Since 1978, we at Timmersgems have been producing and exporting the so-called '54-FLATS' (4000 boxes to 9 countries). Both retailers and museum shops find this ideal: the customer selects their own stone, can take it out of the box and examine it, and it is otherwise nicely packaged. put a bag around it and it always results in a satisfied customer! "Not a stone in a sealed bag where the less beautiful side is placed at the bottom!" Just an honest stone: what you see is what you get!
Aventurine, or aventurien, is a green to reddish-brown colored variety of the mineral quartz. Usually, this gemstone is found in the green and polished variant. Aventurine has a hardness of 7 and is found, among other places, in Russia in the Ural Mountains and in China. Aventurine, like many other varieties of quartz (such as amethyst and rose quartz), is cut so that it can be used as jewelry. The chemical composition of aventurine is SiO₂ + KAl₂(OH,F)₂ / AlSi₃O₁₀ + Cr. The Ancient Greeks sewed aventurine into a warrior's clothing to preserve his courage, ambition, and optimism.
