New from the Spring water mines in Missouri U.S.A. is this fantastic Dragon Calcite in truly breathtaking color shades. Often mistaken for dog tooth Calcite, but still significantly different in color. This Calcite is found in a few places in the world, but the most beautiful one is found in the U.S.A. and is only found in 1 mine there, namely the Spring water mines in Ellington, Reynolds County in Missouri U.S.A. This mine is known as an industrial mine which is maintained and operated by the Doe Run Company, which is very concerned with the environment. The mine is known for its large yields of Lead, Copper and Zinc and a number of critical minerals that are severely lacking on earth. When mining these minerals, beautiful minerals are also found, of which the Dragon Calcite is without a doubt the most beautiful and best known. But quartz crystals and even Citrine are also found here in varying quantities. The mine is known for its fight against pollution and care is taken to ensure a clean environment around the mine and the responsible waste processing of residues released during mine exploitation.
