Black moonstone is actually an unknown stone, previously there was a dark gray variant of moonstone from Sri Lanka and India, but a real black one was never found until 2017. In March 2017, a number of miners accidentally found a vein in Ambovombo on Madagascar. The stone was immediately very popular but also rare. Only a few hundred kilos were found and it is assumed that it may take a long time before black Moonstone of this great quality is found again. The stone contains valuable powers and is the stone of confidentiality and intuitive action. Ideal for deep meditation and for grounding. Black Moonstone is a Feldspar and the brilliance in the stone is reminiscent of the brilliance of the moon. Moonstone is only found in a few places, namely in India and Sri Lanka and Madagascar.
