Salvador Dali studied in Madrid from 1921 to 1924. Even then, he was an eccentric figure, probably to draw attention to himself. In 1926, he went to Paris. Dali was also known for his moustache, which was thin, elongated and gracefully curved. Like antennas, both moustache tips pointed upwards or were curled. Dali claimed that he received inspiration from the cosmos through his whiskers. Today, many influences from Salvador Dali are still noticeable and many people are inspired by his work.
